The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has a unique and exciting position available within the Water Quality Bureau, located in Des Moines, Iowa as a Private Water Wells Specialist Senior. Within this position you will carry out the duties as set forth in rule to ensure that private wells are constructed properly to prevent the contamination of groundwater. This position is dedicated to the private well program and is integral to our relationships with Iowa HHS who administers the Private Well Testing Program and the counties who have 28E Agreements to carry out private well permitting.
