PLAN YOUR VISIT

Picnic at one of Twin Lake’s shelters. A large stone CCC-era shelter and an open-air shelter can be found on the east shore, along with a second open-air shelter on the west shore near the playground. The shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fish for bluegill, crappie and walleye in the large natural lake. Two state boat ramps on the south shore of the lake provide access, and the main area on North Twin Lake is open for fishing 24 hours a day.

Play at the modern playground on the lake’s west shore park area, which also features a swimming beach. Visitors can also enjoy a larger beach on the east shore.

Bike on the new seven mile multi-purpose paved trail that encircles North Twin Lakes with an access point to the main east area of Twin Lakes State Park.
