SALIX, Iowa -- DNR Conservation Officers have filed a charge and warnings as a result of a boat incident that happened at Browns Lake on May 25 that left two people seriously injured.

BERNARD, Iowa -- State conservation officers with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources responded to a hunting-related injury that occurred in Jackson County at the Three Hills Hunting Preserve, during a pheasant hunt on Sunday shortly after 11 a.m.

A Denison man suffered a self inflicted gunshot wound to his thigh from a pistol he was carrying in his waistband shortly after he began walking to the field to hunt deer with his muzzleloader.  The injury occurred around 5 p.m. on October 17, in southern Crawford County.
