Are you an Iowa small business owner, or otherwise interested in advising the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on air quality requirements affecting small businesses? The State of Iowa is looking for interested individuals to appoint as members to the Clean Air Act Compliance Advisory Panel (CAP), as established in Iowa Code section 455B.150.

Zebra mussels found in Carter Lake

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is watching Carter Lake after juvenile zebra mussels were recently found in a water sample collected by Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC) staff. Although veligers were detected, intensive sampling the past week did not find any adult zebra mussels.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reminding boaters and anglers to check for unwanted hitchhikers on their boats and equipment this Fourth of July to help protect Iowa lakes and streams.

CHARLES CITY – Volunteers will have an opportunity this summer to spend their vacations cleaning up, learning about and exploring 55 miles of the upper Cedar River from the Iowa-Minnesota border to Nashua from July 10 to 14 as part of Project AWARE. Early registration ends June 16.
