Springbrook State Park in Guthrie County will shut down beginning Sept. 8 for major road repairs. Repairs will include replacing the bridge coming into the park and the culvert in the campground, and repairing the main road between the spillway and the picnic area. The park will be closed to vehicle traffic until completion, which is scheduled to be May 21, 2016 (weather dependent).
The Sherburne Cabin, located on the west end of the park, will continue to be open for rent, and the Conservation Education Center, adjacent to the park on the east, will remain open.
Visitors may access pedestrian trails, but are encouraged to stop at the office for a trail map and parking directions. Parking will be available at the office/shop complex or the Conservation Education Center.
