Road paving construction will begin next week at Lost Grove Lake located east of Eldridge. The south entrance road leading to Backcast Bay Shoreline Access Area (located near the corner of 250th Street and 230th Avenue) will close on June 6 and the entrance road leading to the Old Red Barn Boat Ramp (formerly the middle boat ramp; also located near the corner of 250th Street and 230th Avenue) will close on June 8.
Each of the infrastructure areas are expected to be closed for about one month after construction activities begin
The north entrance road leading to the Scout’s Rest Shoreline Access Area (230th Ave. North), the entrance road to Sliding Rock Boat Ramp (formerly main boat ramp; located off of County Hwy Z30), and the entrance road leading to Whistling Prairie Boat Ramp (formerly west boat ramp; located off of 220th Avenue) will be closed later this summer. Construction is tentatively set to begin at these areas on June 14, July 8, and July 13, respectively.
The lake will be continue to be accessible to boaters as a minimum of one boat ramp will remain open to the public during construction.
