OSKALOOSA – Water samples taken over two consecutive days have tested clear for bacteria, allowing the city of Oskaloosa to lift a boil advisory.
The advisory was issued Tuesday after a pump malfunction caused the city’s two water towers to empty overnight, dropping the water pressure. Low pressure creates the potential for bacteria to enter the distribution system.
The city collected water samples at 11 locations, and sent them for laboratory testing. Results from both sets of samples show the water is safe to drink.
