Des Moines – The main road into Big Creek State Park will be closed beginning Tuesday, April 12.
The closure is a necessary step in the repair on the Big Creek dam gate structure. Weather permitting, this closure will be in effect for 2-3 days.
Individuals wanting to visit the east side of Big Creek, during the closure, can access the park via Hugg Drive or 142nd Ave.
