With spring break quickly approaching, make sure you set your plans now for a getaway in one of Iowa’s state park cabins! If you’re looking to travel but don’t want to splurge on lodging, a state park cabin is a budget friendly way to get the most out of your visit! Cabins are as low as $35 per day for a basic cabin, with a required minimum two-night stay. Other options include a modern, studio, or deluxe cabin, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100 per day.

Outdoor Exploration

Spend the day exploring part of the Lewis and Clark Trail at Waubonsie State Park, fishing at Union Grove State Park or climbing a cliff at Backbone State Park. There are numerous picturesque views along the trails at any Iowa state park, making it the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors after this harsh winter.

Indoor Amenities

Summer isn’t here just yet, but don’t let that stop you from diving into the water. At Honey Creek Resort, visitors can float down the lazy river, race down the two-story slide or hang poolside at their indoor water park. Honey Creek also offers numerous kid-friendly activities and a full service restaurant. Pine Lake and Waubonsie state parks have indoor fireplaces, making it the perfect spot to cozy up when the sun goes down.

Proximity

The best part of booking a reservation at an Iowa state park is that once you’re there, you’re there! Ditch the airport traffic, because upon arrival, the destination is in your backyard.

The following parks will be open for Spring break cabin rental. If you want to reserve within seven days of your stay, please call the individual park office to make your reservation. Otherwise, reserve online!
