DES MOINES -- Due to forecasts of dangerously cold air temperatures and related wind chills, the DNR is postponing three Fee Advisory Group meetings tomorrow in Des Moines and four SLEIS training sessions originally scheduled for Wednesday in Cedar Rapids and Thursday in Des Moines.

DNR will reschedule the Jan. 29 Fee Advisory Group meetings for mid- to late February. Please contact Wendy Walker at Wendy.Walker@dnr.iowa.gov if you have any questions.

DNR will reschedule the Cedar Rapids SLEIS training sessions originally scheduled for Jan. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The training location will remain the Jean Oxley Linn County Public Service Center, Conference Rooms 1A and 1B, 935 Second St. SW in Cedar Rapids.

Please refer to DNR’s eAir Services webpage  and click "What Kind of Training is Available" for updates regarding training dates and times in Cedar Rapids.

The Des Moines SLEIS training sessions originally scheduled for Jan. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. have been rescheduled to Feb. 7 at the same times. The training location will remain the Ola Babcock Miller Building, Forest Spaulding Conference Room 310, 1112 E. Grand Avenue in Des Moines.

If you need to cancel a registration, please e-mail Nick Page at nick.page@dnr.iowa.gov.

SLEIS is the online emissions inventory system used by industries to report air pollutant emissions. The reports help DNR and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency track how well Iowa is meeting national air quality standards.
