The Oyens Shooting Range will be closed June 16 and 17 for the 4th annual Tri-State Public Range Association work day. This year, the Tri-State Public Range Association is raising money to install a new target stand system at the range.

The range will reopen on June 18, for multiple shooting competitions, food, and a machine gun shoot sponsored by a local gun shop. Following the day's activities, the range will get a thorough cleaning to get it ready for the shooting season.

There is more information about the event on the Tri-State Public Range Association Facebook page.

The purpose of the Tri-State Public Range Association is to maintain and improve public sporting lands in the area so that they remain open for future generations.  The majority of their work occurs at the Oyens Public Shooting Range, the M.L. "Stub" Gray Shooting Range, Weedland Access, and Ponca State Park.
