The Department of Natural Resources received grant funding from the Environmental Protection Agency for a diesel emission reduction program in Iowa. The DNR has created a competitive application process to fund projects that will implement cost-effective strategies that result in diesel emission reductions statewide.
County agencies, municipalities, school districts, and transit agencies are encouraged to participate in the DNR’s 2016 Diesel Emission Reduction (DERA) program. Please visit https://www.iowadnr.gov/dera for the DERA program overview, specific guidelines and requirements, all application forms, and additional information.
Questions may be submitted to jim.mcgraw@dnr.iowa.gov until June 5. Responses will be posted on the website on June 7. To be considered for this funding opportunity, please submit the application and fleet description by June 19 at 4 p.m. CST. Projects may begin no earlier than July 18, 2017, and all projects must be completed by February 28, 2018.
