The Air Quality Bureau would like to invite you, or a representative of your company or organization, to apply to participate as a member of the 2017 Air Quality Program Funding Work Group. The Bureau hopes to form a diverse stakeholder group that will represent a broad selection of those who use air quality bureau services including: small and large businesses and industries, associations, local governments, non-governmental organizations, and the general public.
As a member of the work group you will be asked to reexamine and provide feedback on the current fees for: minor source and major source air construction permit applications; operating permit applications; Title V emissions; and asbestos notifications. Group members will also be asked to develop and endorse specific recommendations for future changes to funding the Iowa air quality program next year and beyond.
Prospective participants should be willing to commit time to participate in stakeholder meetings from June- July, and to provide follow-up support for the recommendations developed by the workgroup. Four meetings of the 2017 Air Quality Program Funding Work Group are anticipated. The first meeting will be June 21th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Air Quality Bureau. The remaining meeting dates will be July 13, July 20, and July 25.

Membership in the work group will be announced by June 5.
