DES MOINES – Permanent ice fishing shelters must be removed from all state-owned lands and waters by Feb. 20. Ice shelter owners are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to get their shelter off the ice. If a shelter falls through the ice, the owner is responsible for getting it out of the lake.

WINDSOR HEIGHTS—After 21 years in Windsor Heights, the DNR’s Air Quality Bureau is returning to the Wallace Building near the state capitol.

The DNR’s Air Quality Bureau is moving to the Wallace Building, 502 E 9th St, Des Moines IA 50319, on December 19 and 20. Staff availability will be limited during the move dates.
