DES MOINES –With few items on the May 23 agenda, the Environmental Protection Commission has cancelled plans for a pre-meeting educational tour in Clayton County. Instead they will meet by conference call.

The Iowa Environmental Protection Commission approved the Fourth Quarter Updates to the Intended Use Plans for fiscal year 2016. The Commission took the action on March 15 at their meeting in Ankeny, Iowa. The updates included a proposal for offering loan forgiveness to Drinking Water SRF projects involving public health impacts, water and energy efficiency, emergency generation, and disadvantaged communities. DES MOINES – The Environmental Protection Commission and the Natural Resources Commission, both of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, will meet jointly Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Wallace Building second floor north conference room at 502 E. Ninth St. in Des Moines. Each commission will present its annual report followed by reports of mutual interest from DNR staff.

The Environmental Protection Commission adopted rules and a fee schedule for Title V application fees starting on January 15, 2016. Three existing Title V permit application forms have been modified to provide the DNR with the information needed for the new fee structure. Title V application Form 1.0 has been revised to include the necessary billing and invoice remittance information and Part 3 has been revised to include an application fees agreement statement.

On October 8, 2015, the Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) approved a Notice of Intended Action for asbestos notification fees and application fees for construction and operating permits.
