DES MOINES – Consideration of a referral of Sioux City by the Iowa Environmental Protection Commission scheduled for May 17th will be postponed to the commission’s June 21st meeting as requested by the city.
The commission was scheduled to hear a request from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to refer the City of Sioux City to the Attorney General’s Office for judicial enforcement, due to alleged serious violations of its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit.
