WILLIAMSBURG – Drinking water and water monitoring contracts head up the April 19 meeting of the Environmental Protection Commission in Williamsburg.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at the Iowa County Conservation Board Nature Center, 2550 G Ave. in Ladora. Public comments will follow the monthly reports. Or, people may submit written comments to the commission by mail or email to Jerah Sheets, Jerah.Sheets@dnr.iowa.gov before the meeting.
On Monday, prior to the business meeting, commissioners will tour several animal feeding operations. The educational driving tour is open to the public, but interested people must register by April 14 to ensure enough clothing and equipment is available to maintain bio-security at the facilities. Commissioners will meet for dinner at 5 p.m. April 18 at the Casa Tequila Restaurant, 523 Court St. in Williamsburg.
