Make an Iowa State Park cabin your hunting basecamp

Hunters, are you looking for a basecamp for your upcoming deer hunt or weekend pheasant hunt?

Iowa state parks have 45 year-round cabins available to rent, with two-day minimum stays, starting as low as $35 per day. Visitors will need to bring bedding, towels and some cooking utensils. Some cabins are handicapped-accessible and pet friendly. Cabins can sleep between 2 and 12 people, depending on the type of cabin.

The following parks have at least one cabin open this weekend (Dec. 2-3, 2016), however reservations will need to be made directly through the park offices, as the online reservation window has closed. Be sure to mention how you heard about the cabin opening.

Reminder: State parks are wildlife refuges. Hunting and trapping are prohibited. Please review all public hunting area boundaries before you go.
