WINDSOR HEIGHTS – A presentation on wastewater permitting will start the 10 a.m. meeting of the Iowa Environmental Protection Commission Oct. 20 at the DNR’s Air Quality Bureau, 7900 Hickman Road in Windsor Heights.
The regular meeting on Oct. 20 is open to the public, with an opportunity for public comment following monthly reports. The public may also submit written comments to the commission by mail or email to Jerah Sheets, Jerah.Sheets@dnr.iowa.gov, in advance of the meeting.
A demonstration will roll out the new manure applicator training giving applicators the convenience of acquiring their annual training and certificates online.
Commissioners will also be asked to amend a contract for a watershed improvement project in Rathbun Lake.
At 1 p.m., commissioners will be asked to determine if the Plum Creek Wildlife Area is a public use area, regarding the P & J Pork case returned by the Kossuth County District Court.
