The DNR presents an exciting way to learn about energy and waste topics - a mobile education trailer!
What is it?
The "How You Live has an Impact" exhibit, is an all-inclusive experience that includes informative displays, interactive kiosks, educational videos and more.
Come Inside
The exhibit is equipped with touch screen computer games, flat screen TVs and interactive displays.
The exhibit showcases:
- Sustainability
- Recycling
- Household Hazardous Materials
- Water Conservation
- Energy Conservation
We bring the exhibit to you! Contract Transport, Inc in Des Moines transports the trailer before and after events. It is also handicapped accessible, heated and air conditioned so it can be used year-round. Please note, the Department does not provide staff for mobile education events.
Use the Educational Exhibit at:
- Fairs
- Conferences
- Kick-offs
- Promotional events
Science teachers, environmental educators, recycling coordinators, event managers, community leaders and solid waste professionals are also encouraged to use the exhibit for their events.
To request the exhibit, fill out the online reservation form. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Please register as soon as possible to reserve the exhibit for your event (Note: Delivery and pick up will be on week days only). A deposit of $500 is required to secure your reservation and will be refunded upon return and inspection of the exhibit.

Must use one of the following:
- 220V, 60 amp
- Onboard generator (provided)
