DNR Administration - After the $350,000 Conservation Education allotment, 1% of the remaining funds are transferred to the DNR to help defray costs of REAP administration. The DNR is responsible for overall coordination of REAP, including managing the budget, administering the grant programs and carrying out the regional assemblies and statewide congress.
Money in the DNR Administration Account is used for a variety of purposes. The REAP account does not cover all the administrative expenses, so the DNR supplements it with other funds.
